Huangguoshu is Asia’s biggest waterfall by width — a 77-metre-high, 101-metre-wide curtain of the Baishui River that you can hear a kilometre away in flood season. The ticket covers three linked scenic areas: the great fall itself, the Doupotang cascade upstream, and the Tianxingqiao karst water-garden downstream.
The thing that makes it singular is the Water-Curtain Cave: a natural passage running behind the full width of the falls, where you look out at the valley through the back of the torrent. Do Tianxingqiao first, hit the main fall after the midday tour groups thin, and expect to get wet either way.
